In March Amira Willighagen, the 9 year-old 2013 winner of “Holland’s Got Talent” was in SA for a show and joined the team for the morning. She may be young but she is undoubtedly one of the most talented singers in the opera arena!

Jacaranda FM listeners respond with overflowing generosity to the plight for help for 11-month old Mark Schmidt, who needs a heart operation!
Parents Russell and Cita Penn got the fundraising ball rolling for 11-month old Mark Schmidt, who needs a heart operation. The Penn's donated R30 000,00 in memory of their daughter, Sadie, who passed away from a rare heart condition on 10 July. The Good Morning Angels Fund matched this donation, with another R30 000,00.
Mark's doctor told his mom, Jenny Schmidt that they needed around R200 000,00 for the operation and an additional R50 000,00 or so in case of complications, follow-up treatment and medication.
Jenny had raised around R100 000,00 before - which meant that they needed another R90 000,00 be safe. We asked our Jacaranda FM listeners to help - and you did!!!
Thanks to you for, Mark had his operation and has been given a second lease on life.
