Woman screams in terror as cheetah attacks
Updated | By Lee-Roy Wright
This once again proves that wild animals are in fact WILD animals...
There have been numerous videos showing wild animal attacks, and this time it is no different.
In the latest clip, a Chinese exchange student was visiting popular cheetah encounter lodge, Emdoneni Lodge and Cheetah Project, when the incident took place. This is the second time an attack of this kind has taken place, following the tragic cheetah attack on a young three-year-old boy in the Free State.
According to international reports, it is the same cheetah, 'Dew', that attacked both the young boy and the exchange student. In the video one can see the woman slowly approaching the large cat, when suddenly the cheetah pounces on the woman, gripping her with its powerful claws.
The guide steps in as a barrier between the woman and the animal, and tries to break them apart. The woman screams while clinging onto the leg of the guide. Even though the lady was not harmed, there's no doubt that it could have ended badly.
This once again poses the notion of whether or not wild animals should be kept in enclosures for human entertainment?! If so, what can be done to prevent these attacks?
Do you think the cheetah intended to hurt the woman or was it just an act of playful behaviour?
