Is Miss SA in the wrong for wearing gloves at a soup kitchen?
Updated | By Kriya Gangiah
Miss SA has come under fire on social media for her conduct at a recent soup kitchen.
South African's have taken to social media in anger over how Miss SA recently conducted herself at a soup kitchen hosted by Sun International for a children's home called 'Ikageng' in Soweto.
It's been an amazing morning. Special thanks to @TheMaslowHotel team for this wonderful initiative. #MaslowSoupKitchen pic.twitter.com/5x2JOTBhNT

As part of Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters' reign, she does a number of community activities such as the one she participated in today. However, it seems that social media is not happy about the fact that she wore gloves during her visit.
Do you think the negative social media commentary is warranted?
Why is Miss SA wearing surgical gloves though??? https://t.co/rBviVhSyLP

Could do more damage to the kids, they aren't worth of physical contact? Worst representation of SA someone who can't even touch black kids

Demi has since posted a video on her personal Twitter account to clear the air.
To everyone asking about the gloves, I truly hope that you'll hear my heart and understand that it came from a place of wanting to do good. pic.twitter.com/Pl5amM2gEM
