A number of highly venomous snakes found in Pretoria East

After a string of poisonous snakes were found in the Pretoria East area, Kriya speaks to an expert about why they are becoming more prevalent.

Finding a snake is a normally quite a rare sight but over the last few months there has been an increase in spottings of highly venomous snakes in the Pretoria east area.
Recently two snouted cobras and one puff adder were found and successfully relocated by snake handler Barry Greenshields.
He explained to Kriya why we are starting to see a large number of snakes and more importantly what to do if you do come across a poisonous snake.

Kriya also found out what his theory is behind the incident that saw a snake enter the residence of a Pretoria East home through a toilet.
Greenshields said he released them back into the wild as far as possible from the city, to protect humans as well as the snakes.
