Cyclone Dineo hits Mozambique

Cyclone Dineo has made landfall in
Mozambique. Strong winds and heavy rains are battering
the Mozambican coast around Inhambane.

Trees have been uprooted and roofs blown off.
Winds and gusts of up to 200 kilometres per hour have been forecast.
The tropical cyclone is expected to move over the northern parts of South Africa.
Heavy rains have been forecast for Limpopo, Mpumalanga and Kwa-Zulu Natal tomorrow and into Friday.
Disaster management teams have been placed on high alert in these areas with the provincial operation centres set to be activated from tomorrow.

A Mozambican beach resort has also shared photos of the strong winds and rain.
