Finance minister Pravin Gordhan sacked

Finance minister Pravin Gordhan has been axed.

President Zuma has announced a major cabinet reshuffle.
It comes after much speculation.
The Presidency had released a statement late on Thursday night saying an announcement will be made with regards to changes to the national executive, hinting at a reshuffle.
The Rand has taken a knock since rumours began.It's now trading R13.36/$.
In a statement, Zuma said:"I have decided to make changes to the National Executive in order to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
"The changes bring some younger MPs and women into the National Executive in order to benefit from their energy, experience and expertise."
