A life-changing job interview for former Wits law student
Updated | By Laila Majiet & Carla Mackenzie
This former Wits law student applied for a cleaning job, but got so much more.
Social media has come together to help Nesia Chido live her dream of being a lawyer after her results were withheld due to her owing R53 000 in student fees.
Her story went viral after Capetonian business owner, Jeanne Pienaar advertised a half day cleaning position online and was inundated with applications, but says Nesia's CV stood out from the rest.
The Wits graduate completed her studies Cum Laude and was awarded the Dean's Merit prize for one of her subjects.
Jeanne says after seeing the sparkly CV, she knew what she had to do.
She called Chido in for an interview and here's what happened next.
Chido says it all still feels unreal.
How's that for a good story worth sharing!
