South African Olympic gold medallist Wayde
van Niekerk has proposed to his long-time girlfriend Chesney Campbell.
He posted a Boomerang video to Instagram with the words "She said yes" and a picture of his fiancé’s hand with a diamond ring on it.
Chesney Campbell describes herself on her Instagram page as "just a simple quiet girl."
Social media users reacted, congratulating van Niekerk and Campbell on the great news.
The couple have been dating for three years.

The 24-year-old athlete was treated to an unforgettable day at Liverpool’s training headquarters.
A lifelong Liverpool fan, Van Niekerk also snapped up a picture with Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson.
On the sprinter’s victory at the Rio Olympics, Henderson, along with club's Twitter account, took time to congratulate him for his win.
