5 Tips on how to calm a Bridezilla

Let's face it, on wedding day, it is all about the bride. No matter what you do, keep the bride happy. Yes, we know lot's can go wrong, but when it does, how do you deal with it? More so, how do you deal with a bridezilla and her moods? 

Well, here's a list of key steps to take in order to turn that bridezilla into a glowing princess.

1. Be her shoulder to cry on - and to vent on

It is very important to be that person who the bride can talk to, to share her frustrations with. Even if you aren't bothered by what she is saying, just comfort her and support her. 

2. Don't add to the drama

If your bride is a tad bit dramatic, don't fuel the fire. Calm her and remind her what the special day is about. Never ease yourself into the drama and make things worse just because it may seem a lot easier at the time. 

3. Distract her and take her mind off the wedding

As you know, weddings can be very stressful. So as a friend, take her out. Spoil her, take her shopping, do something that you know she would enjoy. That way you will calm her and in doing so, you will be able to alleviate the stress. 

4. Be firm and don't take the abuse

If you've dealt with a bridezilla before, you would know that it is not easy. Don't be afraid to be firm and say 'that's enough!' It is important to do so, that will also make her understand how she is coming across. What is important to remember is that you need to say it with love and respect. 

5. Love her

You need to remember that even though it can be tough to deal with, this is her once in a lifetime fairy-tale moment and it needs to be special for her. Care for her, manage her with love and hug her if you have to. Affection is always a good way to calm her down. 

If you are experiencing a tough time with a bridezilla, just know that she is still the person you love. It's just that sometimes all the wedding bills and stress get in the way.
