Do you consider tattoos unprofessional in a work environment?

The social media streets are currently in an uproar over how this guy claims he was excluded from an employment opportunity simply because he has tattoos. Yes. Even in 2016, these things matter, apparently.
The LADbible reports how 18-year-old student Logan McNicholas was rejected for a job opportunity with a UK-based health food store.
The young man was reportedly told upon appearing for his interview that "...they wouldn't give him a job because the company had 'high standards of personal appearance' ..." which meant that all of his tattoos would have to be covered up.
The LADbible further notes: "He was invited to an interview and trial at the city centre store, but was told afterwards that while they weren't offensive, as they could not be covered up, the company was unable to offer him the job."
