At least 180 beach rescues recorded in Durban

EThekwini Municipality says approximately 186 rescues were carried out by lifeguards at various beaches in around the city with 518 people being treated for various injuries - including blue-bottle stings and cuts.
More than 420 children got separated from their parents and guardians while dozens of people were arrested for bad behaviour.
Thirty-three people taken into police custody for various offenses - including harassment, public drinking and theft.
