Get excited! The long awaited announcement of the new Drive team is finally here!
In an exciting turn of events, Jacaranda FM is thrilled to announce the return of award winning presenter Rian Van Heerden to the station as host of the brand-new Afternoon Drive Show, every weekday between 16:00 – 19:00, starting 31 July 2017.
Station GM Kevin Fine says “it’s wonderful to welcome Rian back. Having the two award-winning drive-time hosts on the book ends of our our day-time line-up with hours of music in between makes a great proposition for listeners and advertisers.”
Acclaimed winner of the South African Liberty Radio award this year, Rian says, “I am so happy to be back on - air with Jacaranda FM, Rian endearingly said “Radio is in my blood and I discovered that I love the Jacaranda listeners way too much to just walk away. I tried, but I can’t leave radio because it is my home!”
Program Manager Gavin Meiring says, “July has been an exciting month for Jacaranda FM, with two of the biggest award winning radio personalities Martin Bester and Rian Van Heerden hosting two new shows, Breakfast with Tumi Morake and Martin Bester and The Drive with Rian Van Heerden.”
Meiring further expressed that the Afternoon Drive Show will be delivering more music you love as well as outspoken views, news and Rian’s unmissable and much loved humour.
Listeners can expect a full serving of music and comedy on the station while navigating through traffic, starting with Breakfast with Martin Bester and Tumi Morake ending with Rian taking you home on The Drive Show. “This combination on Jacaranda FM is guaranteed to make drive-time in Gauteng entertaining,” says Meiring.
Don’t miss The Drive with Rian Van Heerden, the show is guaranteed to ease you into the evening, help you forget the stresses of the day and shorten your time in traffic.
