ALL CAPS is not acceptable etiquette, folks
Updated | By Jacaranda FM
IT IS NOT OKAY TO SEND MESSAGES LIKE THIS...

If you are wondering why there is such an absurd day like International Caps Lock Day, we are here to shed some light on the topic.
We have all been exposed to social media, specifically instant messaging, so much so that it is integrated into our daily lives.
We would think that everyone knew the unspoken rules of social engagement. Unfortunately, they don't.
"Software developer Derek Arnold created the original day to poke fun at 'typographical conventions'. But it became the day we provoke Internet friends and colleagues and raise awareness that writing in all caps is not proper etiquette." (National Today)
If you are questioning why using all caps is inappropriate, then you should remember this day. If you have to ask, then you are probably one of the people who uses it.
Typing in all caps is like shouting at someone. DON'T YOU SEE?

"He wanted to remind us that upper case letters look like shouting, which is not nice. Because the recipients of our communications can’t gauge our volume or see our facial expression or body language, they can easily interpret our caps as ANGER, which is also not considered nice." (National Today)
So, in short, using caps lock to type out any message is improper etiquette. Unless you are trying to convey anger, in which case it is proper, right?
