Alternative to keeping cool this New Year's Day

With South Africans, there is always a solution...

Happy New Year!

The Summer heat has been anything but welcoming this year. It has left many people irritable and, of course, sweaty. That sort of heat makes you want to jump into a pool...

However, not everyone has a pool, and public pools are full around this time of year.

We've seen many South Africans sharing videos of how hot it is on their side of the country. Their favourite way of indicating high temperatures is by frying an egg left out on the ground in a frying pan.

We even saw one man who took things to the extreme by creating a pool at the back of his bakkie

Those holidaying in KZN have had to be extra cautious, as the E. coli levels have been causing many to get ill during the festive season.

This is why we were somewhat impressed when we saw this group of men make their plan for staying cool. The source of the water is uncertain, which could be questionable, but the idea is innovative.

The video perfectly depicts what people aim to do on New Year's Day.
