When you are too cool for Padel and it shows...

We are pumped up on adrenaline from watching the Olympics, and some of us are so pumped that we are even attempting to do a 'regular person' Olympics

It is no surprise that there are athletes worldwide who defy the status quo and push themselves beyond the limits of a sport. We saw it with Egyptian Fencer Nada Hafez, who announced that she was competing at seven months pregnant.

And we saw it with a Padel player who impressed spectators with his skill and drive to play a good game.

Premier Padel, the official professional padel tour, is currently underway in Tampere, Finland, and was previously held in Malaga, Spain. Crowds of people gathered to watch as players battled it out on the courts.

A player who created excitement in the crowd was seen doing the unusual and going out of the court to hit the ball when his opponent hit it.

His instinctual reaction to running outside to hit the ball and back in to hit it again impressed people. We were also left amazed at his "out of the court" response. We are also uncertain of the game's rules regarding Padel, but it was acceptable in the video clip.

"Padel is one of the fastest-growing sports in the world in terms of numbers playing. According to the governing body, the International Padel Federation (FIP), padel is now played by around 25 million people across the globe, with the game enormously popular at a grassroots and professional level in countries such as Mexico, Argentina and Spain" (Red Bull TV)
