Usually, when you think about best man speeches, you are sure to experience some laughs about the groom and sometimes depending on the relationship, the bride features in the toast too...
But that is not always guaranteed. And if there is an open bar at the wedding, then you can be certain that the words may come out a little differently...
That's most of the time anyway. But in this case, things were not only embarrassing, but super awkward.

After all, not everyone can have the best 'best man'.
In a post shared on Reddit, we found out that this best man was totally crossing the line when he brought up the fact that he dated the bride first...
"A few years ago I was at a wedding where the best man's toast was all about hos he dated the Bride first, and if things had turned out differently he would be marrying the Bride instead of the Groom." (Reddit)
Naturally, this was awkward for the bride and the groom, not to mention everyone who attended.
But it must've been super awkward for the best man's fiancee, who happened to be one of the guests in attendance.
People came to the post to talk about how bad it must've been for her to hear him say that, because it sounded like he still had feelings for her. Some even questioned if they would still be together after she heard that.
After delving deeper through the comments, it was revealed that the best man and his fiancee got married and are still together. Guess she didn't have a problem with it...
