Bridesmaid upset over her friend's marriage that lasted two weeks
Updated | By Jacaranda FM
Is it fair to allow your friends and family to spend money on your wedding when you know your relationship is on the rocks?
Brides are generalised as being controlling and after the perfect wedding.
For the most part, that is true of many brides (and grooms), but what happens when you are a bride who consciously knows that your relationship is a sham, but you still go ahead with the wedding?
We think that that comes with some sort of selfishness.
One bridesmaid felt a bit sour after she spent a small fortune on her friend's wedding and it turned out her friend's marriage ended after two weeks.
“I know it sounds selfish but I can’t help feeling so upset at the amount of effort I went to and money I spent on making it amazing for her,” she wrote. (MSN)
According to the bridesmaid, the bride knew all too well that her marriage was not going to last, but went ahead with the wedding anyway.

The bridesmaid revealed that she spent £450 (R10,400) alone for her hotel stay for the wedding, excluding the outfits, shoes, bag, makeup, and drinks.
And to have the bride enter into the wedding with her partner who she knew wasn't going to last was selfish.
She believed that the bride's wedding day was more about the wedding and feeling special than it was about laying the foundation for her future marriage.
