A cafe in Tokyo caters to people who are on the gloomy side
People who aren't all about being positive shouldn't get slain for their gloomy natures...
We live in a world that is filled with challenges. From dealing with unemployment to relationship issues, it can be quite a handful for anyone to handle.
But one man from Tokyo is trying to make our very diverse world inclusive.
Some lean toward the more pessimistic side of life and instead of ostracising this part of the community, he has decided to create a safe and non-judgemental place for them.
Mori Ouchi, the name of the cafe, is a safe place for people who are going through depression or aren't as positive-minded as some would like them to be.
"The founder, a self-described gloomy person got the idea for like-minded people over a decade ago but only decided to open it three years ago, during the COVID-19 pandemic. The man had always felt like negative people were more sensitive and more easily hurt than others, so he created a space dedicated exclusively to them." (Oddity Central)
From the outside looking in, it sounds like a place all 'Karens' would migrate to, but this safe space is meant for quite the opposite.

Far too often people who struggle with their mental health are deemed negative, but instead of trying to change them to think positively, perhaps we should help them by acknowledging the root cause of their anxieties?
