Checkers Sixty60 buddies come to their friend's rescue
Updated | By Jacaranda FM/Udesha Moodley-Judhoo
Sometimes, you just need a friend to steer you in the right direction. You can trust a Checkers Sixty60 driver to help a friend in need.

The Checkers Sixty60 drivers have become true heroes across South Africa. Not only are they the lifeline during food emergencies, saving dinner or delivering those last-minute essentials like milk and bread, but they’ve also earned the admiration of little kids who see them as superheroes.
As we kick off the new week, we found yet another act of heroism on the roads. A video shared online shows two Checkers Sixty60 drivers coming to the aid of a third driver who had run out of petrol.
The video captures the two drivers positioning themselves next to the stranded driver and helping him get back on track.
It’s a perfect example of Ubuntu in action and a reminder of what true teamwork looks like.
The fact that they came to help him shows their strong sense of community and solidarity as drivers – it's also a perfect example of how South Africans approach challenges with resourcefulness
Despite the lack of fuel, they didn't let it stop them from moving forward. Instead, they got creative, finding a clever way to get to their destination.
A fellow driver who saw the video online commented, confirming he knew the drivers: "My colleagues, we work together in Sitari Checkers that's Ibrahim on the left and Timothy on the right, helping Claude."
