Chinese man pulls out Zambuk to prove he's South African
Updated | By Jacaranda FM/Udesha Moodley-Judhoo
This social media video had many South Africans declaring him a true South African, all because he proudly carries one iconic brand.

As a nation, we take great pride in the diversity of our people and our land. It's a source of strength and celebration for us all.
However, our attitudes towards expats living in our country can sometimes be a little more complex, particularly when it comes to defining what it truly means to be South African.
While we're known for our warmth and hospitality, we can also be fiercely protective of the title of "South African".
Content creator Jin, who identifies as a Chinese South African, regularly shares his experiences living in South Africa.
He has opened up about how he is often told that he can't possibly be South African.
His video was the perfect response to that sentiment, packed with just the right amount of boldness that we, as South Africans, are known for.
Along with showcasing an iconic South African product, it was this line that truly captured our vibe: "Zumbuck even fixes heartbreaks."

People found his video hilarious, and it quickly gained approval from many South Africans.
One person even gave him the stamp of approval, but then jokingly asked for help to get a BMW from China.
Jin’s response? "I’m mos from ZA."
"You just took out your ID."
"Zam-buk is proof enough, you are verified."
"Only we South Africans know."
"As original as the green ID book."
"Bro pulled out the secret weapon."
