This colleague should get the 'burn' award
Updated | By Jacaranda FM
When you find your colleague reading a book about the four types of human behaviour at a team lunch...
Let's get one thing straight, when it comes to work, let go of the notion that you will get along with everyone.
Not everyone is the same and that means at some point or the other, you may have a quarrel or difference in opinion.
And that is completely okay. In our books anyway.
Whether or not you are in a managerial position, it pays to make an effort to learn how to work better with your colleagues.
And, of course, with the plethora of books out there that help us understand human behaviour better, why shouldn't we take advantage of that?
But it's always important to read the room.
We know that some people can get consumed in a book and that's totally acceptable, but as we said earlier, read the room.
In a video shared on TikTok, we see a colleague reading Thomas Erikson's book, 'Surrounded by Idiots', while at a team lunch.

The book helps the reader understand the four types of human behaviour, so, perhaps we can cut him some slack for wanting to learn more about people?
