Company gives employees 15 minutes to grab unlimited bonuses

"Ready, set, count your way to your bonuses..." Employees were given the chance to count money on a table, and if their count was correct, they could keep the money.
A Chinese company has gone viral for having the most engaging bonus-giving ceremony for their employees.
Henan Mine Crane Co Ltd recently made headlines by laying out 60 million yuan (R153 million) in cash across a 70-metre-long table, giving employees 15 minutes to grab as much as they could and count it as their bonus.
As you might imagine, the competition was fierce. Employees were divided into teams of 30, with each team selecting two members to take on the important task of counting the money they collected.
The twist in this bonus challenge was that accuracy was key – if employees counted correctly, they and their team got to keep the amount they collected. However, any miscalculations resulted in a deduction from their bonus.
One lucky employee managed to grab 100,000 yuan (over R250,000) as a bonus. The president said, "This year, the company sold more than 128,000 cranes, with a net profit of 260 million yuan (about R667 million). There is no pressure to pay a year-end bonus of 100 million yuan (R256 million)."
This isn't the first time Henan Mine Crane had an interesting year-end bonus giveaway. In 2023, they gave away a staggering R193 million in bonuses.
