Cooking with a ceramic pot proves unlucky for this woman

It seems the description of some items can be deceiving...
If you are passionate about cooking, you will know that getting new pots is like getting new stationery for stationery lovers or new shoes for a fashionista.
But it seems sometimes what you think you are buying isn't what you expect it to be.
A woman who bought a ceramic pot for $10 (R183) and was impressed by its ability to transition from stovetop use to oven use was sadly disappointed.
It pains us to see the dish didn't make the cut... and she was so close to finishing cooking her meal!

Many people came to the comments section to share their opinions. They ridiculed her decision to use a ceramic pot on a gas stove top, saying this was expected.
"Ceramic products are crafted from clay, water and other minerals and fired in a kiln at high temperatures. The finished products are durable and heat resistant, making them safe to use in the oven and on stoves and grills." (Xtrema)
