Dad finds his son in bathroom shaving his hair off
Updated | By Jacaranda FM
It is truly inspiring to see how dads are switching things up from their traditional stereotypes.
It can be challenging to break the pattern and move away from parenting in a reactive way, but so many parents are doing it out there and sharing their experiences online.
Social media has become a hub for parents embracing their parenthood journeys. We see parents from all walks of life sharing how they navigate parenthood, with many inspiring others (sometimes without meaning to).
A father who walked into the bathroom to find his toddler shaving his head responded in the most gentle way, surprising many other parents.

Many parents react when things go against the norm; finding your child shaving his hair off is less than ideal, but when we take a step back to look at things, it's not the end of the world.
This father paused and listened and then acted accordingly, and if you watched the whole video, you would've seen that, in the end, it all worked out.
Remaining calm may not be the first response for most parents, but it certainly is the most ideal. When we stay calm, we can assess the situation from a better perspective, and our kids get to see what problem-solving looks like.
It also helps set a precedent for future situations; if or when they are ever in trouble, they will feel confident enough to approach you and ask for help.
Hats off to this dad for handling it like a pro.
