Dad gets chased down by a duck
Updated | By Jacaranda FM
It's like the saying goes, don't mess with wildlife and Mother Nature...
If you've never heard someone warn you not to mess with ducks, then let us be the first to tell you that they can be very ferocious.
Some people keep them in their homes as crime deterrents, instead of dogs.
When a duck feels threatened, it will come for you...
In a video shared on Instagram, we saw a father and son out on a sunny day about to fish. The pond they were at had ducks swimming and in an instant one duck decided he was going to come for the dad.
Now, ducks are known for their chasing behaviour, but what looked innocent enough turned into what looked like a chase scene on a cop sitcom.
Ducks are known for chasing each other as a form of play but this was certainly not that.
According to the Fowl Family website, "Like many other animals, ducks have their own space they love to live in, so they protect it. They chase other ducks to keep their area safe. If a duck sees someone coming into its space and thinks they’re threatening, it might chase them away. It’s to ensure the stuff they’re saving, such as food, the palace where it lays eggs, or its friends and family. This chasing helps them feel secure in their home."

It seems the young boy knew what was going to happen, hence his warning before the duck came for his dad.
