Dads are sometimes known for pushing the limits; one dad proved to be winning at annoying his toddler.

If parents were graded for the amount of nonsense they pulled with their little ones, then this father would get an A. Mom, Liza, shared a throwback video of when her husband made their toddler, Robin, believe he would ship her baby brother, RJ, off to another family.

The young girl was adamant that she would not allow her father to do that because she liked her brother.

Her brother didn't fight the matter, but in his defence, he was about eight or nine months old. He looked pretty comfortable inside the Amazon box and gave them a confused look.

It might sound mean, but joking with your kids helps with their development, believe it or not.

According to an article on CNN, humour is a great parenting tool.

"People who were raised by adults who used humour were found to have a better view of their parents or caregivers, more likely to say they have a good relationship with them, more likely to say they did a good job and reply that they would use the same parenting techniques, said senior study author Dr Benjamin Levi, professor of paediatrics and humanities at Pennsylvania State College of Medicine."

Over and above the cognitive benefits, joking around with your kids helps with communication (allows them to express themselves), builds resilience by allowing them to find humour in challenging scenarios, helps kids develop their social etiquette, reduces anxiety, and is a great way to help them regulate their emotions.
