Trust a kid to confidently take on a supporting heritage in the matter of a day.

One thing we know for sure about kids is their ability to show passion and adoration for things that they find interesting.

Many parents have been scrambling this Heritage Month as they have had to explain to their kids what heritage they form part of. As much as this is a breeze for some, it has proven challenging for others as we form part of such a diverse nation

"Afrikaans culture is rooted in the history and traditions of the Afrikaans-speaking people, primarily of Dutch, French Huguenot, German, and other European descent. Over the centuries, it has evolved into a distinct cultural identity, characterised by its language, customs, and social practices." (Twinkl)

The Afrikaans culture is deeply rooted in its language, food, cultural attire, music, and literature.

Many South Africans share this in their heritage as we celebrate a diversified approach to our multicoloured, multicultural roots.
