The diamond necklace Lady Gaga wore at the Oscars has South African links
Gaga attended the Oscars in a stunning black Alexandra McQueen dress, but there was something else that we could not stop looking at.
The necklace is valued at R420-million and has also only been worn twice before her.

According to Tiffany & Co.'s press site, the Tiffany Diamond is one of the largest and finest fancy yellow diamonds in the world and it was discovered in the Kimberley diamond mine in South Africa in 1877.
Only two women have ever worn the Tiffany Diamond. The second being Audrey Hepburn, who wore a Jean Schlumberger necklace of diamond ribbons surrounding the diamond in publicity photographs for the 1961 film, 'Breakfast at Tiffany’s'.
The iconic diamond weighs more than 128 carats and is one of the largest yellow diamonds in the world.
Gaga's stylists, Sandra Amador and Tom Eerebout told Hollywood Reporter: “The chance to work with such an amazing piece of design and history tonight is a creative dream come true. There are so many beautiful jewels in the world, but the radiant Tiffany Diamond … is truly exceptional, which is just so fitting for Lady Gaga.”
