Do you clean up after yourself at the cinema?
Updated | By Jacaranda FM
Perhaps this should be a standard practice for people visiting the movie theatre?
There are some unwritten rules that are just known by all when using certain public facilities.
And when you aren't part of abiding by those rules, it can get really awkward really fast.
One person took things to new levels when they decided to speak up about something that people don't usually speak up about.
A Reddit poster took to the platform to share how after watching a long movie at the cinema, they noticed a person in front of them leaving a mess.
The Reddit poster comes from a retail background and this disturbed them. Taking into account the low wage the person cleaning the cinema is getting, they decided to speak up.
In a very quiet and calm manner, they asked the fellow movie goer to clean up after himself, but he didn't take too well to their suggestion and snapped back.
Now, the Reddit poster asked if they were the A-hole for saying something when essentially they could've minded their own business and avoided the confrontation.
The people who commented were quite self-aware for the most part and acknowledged that perhaps the guy felt embarrassed and therefore snapped back.
Others agreed with the poster, who said they couldn't keep their mouth shut, saying that it shouldn't be the responsibility of the employee to pick up your trash.
