We've heard of

people marrying themselves, and some even marrying holograms, but this is the first time we have heard of someone marrying their duvet.

The thought of this sounds arbitrary and a bit out of this world, but the reason behind it sometimes comes with an important life lesson.

This time, a woman named Pascale Sellick chose to marry her duvet. In 2019, she appeared on a British morning show to share the reason behind this unlikely union.

It might sound like Sellick is pulling a massive prank on us, but she said this was a decision to support her art.

On 10 February 2019, she married her duvet in a less-than-traditional ceremony. The message behind the unusual marriage was self-love, self-care, and self-worth.

Sellick believes that in a world where many people feel let down by love, she found comfort and reliability in her duvet and wanted to spread the message that her duvet has always been there for her through good and bad times.

From our understanding, it wasn't the union between Sellick and the duvet but the representation of the duvet as yourself. You can find comfort, love, and self-worth in yourself if you look for it and don't need to see it from someone else.
