Unfortunately, when you go travelling, there is a high chance of getting food poisoning. There are a range of reasons for this, but the thing about food poisoning is that you don't know when it might affect you.

A young South African woman who was on a Thailand holiday with her sisters found out the hard way that the effects of food poisoning were dire.

The effects were so harmful that they missed their flight back home, and she had to be rushed to the hospital in an ambulance.

Shiv Sewlal, who suffers from a range of allergies, eczema, and asthma, is fond of sharing content on how she goes about her day-to-day life living with these conditions.

She was left vomiting at the airport, which caused all three sisters to miss their flight back to South Africa.

Her sister, Ash Sewlal, shared a video, more than 12 hours ago, sharing that they were stuck in a hotel close to the airport until they found a flight home.

The thing is that all the flights were super expensive so they were just waiting it out. When she asked her sister, Shiv, how she was feeling, she said, "Much better".
