The funniest proposal we've seen in a while
Wasn't it Michael Bolton who said, "When a man loves a woman, she can do no wrong..."?
Life is full of surprises, and we can either choose to go with the flow or against it. But when something tugs at our heartstrings, sometimes the best approach is to embrace it with humour – whether you intend to or not.
One woman did just that when she thought her boyfriend was pranking her.
In a video shared on the America's Funniest Videos' social media, we see a guy kneeling on one knee to propose to his girlfriend at an apple farm. When she turned around and saw him, her immediate reaction was to throw a half-eaten apple right at his face.
That’s definitely not the reaction anyone hopes for when they take the plunge and ask someone to spend their life with them. However, it turned out to be an unexpectedly entertaining – and surprisingly sweet – moment between the couple.
The girlfriend quickly realised her boyfriend was serious and leapt into his arms with excitement. He fell to the ground, and she tried to nurse his head where she'd hit him with the apple.
Though the scene ended in laughter, there were a few bruises – both to his face and, perhaps more painfully, to his ego. But hey, what’s a little bruising in the name of love?
