Asking someone to spend the rest of their life with you is a big deal.
Safe to say that planning an engagement is a big step in any relationship.
But for the most part, it is important to be on the same page with your partner before embarking on your proposal planning.
We guess not everyone thinks that way though.
This guy, for instance, thought interrupting a New Year's Eve party to surprise his girlfriend was romantic.
Not so much for her though... her face said it all!

Even though she said yes, it didn't seem like she wanted to. Perhaps it was just genuine, but the awkward silence before saying yes felt a bit forced.
