Easter weekend:
Public Holidays: Friday, 19 April - Good Friday & Monday, 22 April - Family Day.
Extend your Easter weekend all the way to the next weekend by taking three days of leave. Take off Tuesday, 23 to Friday, 26 April. This results in a 10-day break from work.
Freedom Day and Workers Day:
Public Holidays: Saturday, 27 April - Freedom Day & Wednesday, 1 May - Workers' Day.
Unfortunately, Freedom Day falls on a Saturday, but if you take off Monday 29 April and Tuesday 30 April you are only using two days of leave, but receive five days off. You can extend this break by taking Thursday, 2 and Friday, 3 May off.
And just like that, you have only used six leave days, but you get a 17-day leave period.
