Horseman shocks residents in KZN as he gallops by

Could it be time to try your luck at the tracks?

It's not every day you see someone riding a horse in your neighbourhood, unless you live on a farm, and even then, it is not guaranteed.
Seeing someone ride a horse through a residential suburb feels out of place, but in South Africa, anything (or rather, everything) is possible.
It's not the first time we've seen people share videos of people riding on their horses on social media. We remember once seeing some people riding through a fast food drive-thru on horseback.
A Durban resident recently couldn’t help but laugh as he filmed a man casually riding a horse through the streets of Newlands East.
Naturally, the first thing that came to his mind was the Hollywoodbets Durban July – Durban’s most glamorous annual event. He jokingly took it as a sign to start prepping those bets.
The video had people in stitches, with one person saying the man’s choice of “horsepower” made perfect sense given today’s petrol prices.
"Petrol is expensive, invest in a horse."
"He's ready for Durban July this one."
"When I say to the people we don't live on a farm, this happens."
"He's bringing the Durban July to the hood."
"That's horsepower."
"He's driving his Mustang of South Africa."
