Be more present when you are with your kids...
As a parent, there are those moments where you have to make a decision for your child that isn't always easy.
Safety first. When your child fusses to go into a car seat or at the very least to be buckled up during a car ride, it is definitely your responsibility to make sure their well-being is made a priority.
But the sad reality is that not all parents do this.
Saying no to your kids is a testing experience. It can be extremely difficult, but it is a requirement.
You cannot be the friend or good guy all the time, there are moments when you have to instil rules. And as much as they may not like it, they will learn with time.
Like we did.
Now, this video isn't suitable for sensitive viewers, but it is certainly a prime example of how quickly things can go wrong.
In a video that seems to be taken off a road camera, we see several cars stationary at a traffic light.
We also notice a child leaning out of the back car window. Unprepared for the car to move, the child, who is wearing what looks like a onesie, falls over and out of the window, onto the tarred road.
If not for the other motorists who were paying more attention than the family who were missing a child, we don't know what would have happened to the child.
