Influencer admits to disrupting retail workers from doing their job
Updated | By Jacaranda FM
The things people do for content can be considered hindering for the everyday worker...
As it might seem 'over-the-top' for many who see social media influencers as a hindrance to society, many of these influencers share their content to speak to a community they resonate with.
Posting content online has become a competitive arena, with people from all walks of life trying to make it into the world of influencers. Many try to step out of the ordinary to appear unique, which has benefitted some.
Sharing content that appears natural but isn't helps tick off the box of being relatable or serving appealing content. We live in a society that enjoys living vicariously through people willing to share their 'day-to-day' lives on the internet.
One could say social media has allowed regular people to claim their fandom by posting content as if those consuming it are watching 'live' reality TV.

An influencer was honest enough to share the hindrance caused by her filming content and admitted that it is causing people to stop doing their work.
In a video she shared on TikTok, we can see her place her smartphone inside a fridge at a Woolworth's store.
She then reverses her trolley or shopping cart as if she just arrived in the aisle and starts looking at products in the opposite fridge. The view is quite interesting because it offers a natural perspective to the person watching.
But life got in the way of her achieving the perfect shot; a worker opened the fridge in which her smartphone was chilling to stock up the fridge racks.
