It was love at first sight for monkey and girl
This shows an entirely different side to vervet monkeys.
A video from an exclusive hotel in KwaZulu-Natal, The Oyster Box, shows an unlikely 'love' connection between a monkey and a young lady.
A mother dining at The Oyster Box with her family shared that her daughter was the epitome of calm, cool and collected when a monkey visited them.
The young woman didn't jump up and flee from the scene, as most people might. Instead, she remained calm and looked like the picture of peace while the monkey sat behind her on the balcony rail.
Feeding monkeys has caused many of the vervet population to act out of their instincts. We've heard so many stories of monkeys entering homes and businesses to steal food.

Of course, we expected to see that in this video, but that was not the case.
The young lady's composure caused some confusion in the monkey, and as they looked at each other, her mother joked that there was a love connection between them.
