Colouring your hair is a big deal; not only should you ensure you use the correct products, but it also involves testing the product and getting advice from a professional, especially when it's the first time using a product.

Most of the time, the motivation behind people dying their hair is for grey coverage. But like anything in beauty and hair care, getting the proper guidance and following the testing procedure is imperative before applying the product to your scalp.

A Johannesburg woman shared how traumatising it was when she decided to use a famous (internationally known) hair brand to dye her hair. She purchased the Revlon Coloursilk hair dye and claimed that after using it on her hair, all her hair fell out.

This incident has attracted a lot of online attention, and the poster, Baddie from the Valley on TikTok, has shared how the supplier's lack of communication has left her defeated.

She shared an update at the beginning of the week after her first day back at work, which was tough for her, as we all might imagine. She also responded to several comments that negatively questioned her and assured people that she read the instructions.

After receiving a comment from the Revlon page, she felt hopeful that a resolution would be sought, but sadly, it started and ended there.

She also visited a GP and has been on treatment, but is experiencing inflammation and itchiness.

She went live on TikTok earlier today to share her first day out in public (at work) without wearing a scarf on her head.

A woman's hair is regarded as her crown, and to have it all fall off due to an alleged beauty treatment is more than disappointing. Despite her feelings of defeat, she has received an astounding amount of support from TikTokers and some hair professionals offering her help. Check out the video below from TikTok

We hope that she can find a way forward and embrace her hair journey, and most of all, we hope she receives some communication from the brand in question.
