Lifeguard saves two waterpark tube riders

Sometimes, split-second decisions are necessary – and that’s exactly what this lifeguard faced.

With the holidays fast approaching, there’s no better way to spend a school break than at a waterpark.
It’s the perfect place to make memories with friends over the holidays, and the best part? There’s something for everyone – whether you prefer a relaxing float along the lazy river or the adrenaline rush of speeding down twisting slides.
Of course, safety is always key, but thankfully, waterparks have lifeguards stationed throughout to ensure a fun and worry-free experience.

A video captured a tense moment at a waterpark when two riders came down a slide in inflatable tubes.
The first rider got stuck in a narrow section of the slide, but the second rider, coming down at full speed, knocked her loose.
However, the delay left the first rider with no time to exit the tube properly before the second rider arrived.
As a result, the second rider collided with the first, leaving her in a vulnerable position. Struggling under the added weight, the first rider was overwhelmed by a rush of water.
Acting quickly – though perhaps a bit forcefully – the lifeguard pushed the second rider off her tube to help the first rider resurface and catch her breath.

If you're visiting the waterpark this holiday, please be safe and responsible.
