There are some unusual foods that one might come across whilst travelling. 

With foodies travelling far and wide to encounter these cultural food experiences, it is not uncommon to come across dishes like fried frog legs, as well as deep-fried scorpions and crickets. 

But sometimes when we are not familiar with something, it can certainly take us by surprise. 

This time it was a bowl of skinned animals that looked very much like rats marinading in this liquid spice pool.
