Man misses being crushed by a tree
A man shared how his father might just be the luckiest person alive after narrowly escaping a freak accident.
Freak accidents happen more often than we realise, but we rarely get a visual reminder of just how close disaster can be.
Thanks to social media, we now see more near-miss incidents unfold, leaving people stunned at what could've been. Many of these clips go viral, with people calling them nothing short of miraculous.
One such moment, shared on the Pubity TikTok page, captured a heart-stopping near-miss from 2024.
The video shows a man walking toward his parked car car, completely unaware of what's about to happen.
The man gets into his vehicle, starts it up and reverses onto the road. Moments after he pulls out and turns onto the road, the home security camera captures a large tree falling onto the driveway.
Coincidence or luck? It depends on what you choose to believe, but it's what we'd call a near-miss accident that could've ended in tragedy.
The video has over 5.4 million views, sparking debate in the comments. Some believe it was an act of divine intervention, while others think the neighbour was responsible for cutting down the tree just after the man backed up.
