Man reminds us why you shouldn't braai while on the phone
Here's why talking on the phone while tending to a braai can be hazardous.
There are plenty of do's and don'ts when it comes to being the ultimate braai master, and one of the biggest don'ts is getting distracted while you're on braai duty.
A video shared ted by a "kitchen disaster" page on Instagram shows just how quickly things can go wrong when you're not fully focused on your cooking.
In the clip, a man is seen speaking on the phone while checking the food on his barbeque grill. His attention drifts between the phone call and his braai duties, and instead of putting his phone on the table, he accidentally places it right on the hot grill.

Things escalate quickly when his phone catches fire, and his reaction is far from safe.
When he notices that the phone is on fire, he quickly removes it from the grill and throws it onto the nearby garden furniture – which, of course, is made of fabric. Luckily, he realises his mistakes before things get out of hand.
