Man rigs automated office to feed him snacks

A man used his Google home assistant to turn his office into an optimal workspace - but you won't believe which essential item he can't live without.
At this time of the year, we're all looking to finish up our projects as quickly as possible, while using the least amount of energy. A digital assistant like Alexa or Siri suddenly sounds like the best idea ever as emails go unanswered for longer than usual.
If you like to push the limits of technology like David Neevel, you'll use the last of your energy to programme Google Home to do all the most important tasks for you. Need to adjust the lighting? No problem. Feeling like a snack? Google's got you. Focus on getting work done and leave the admin to the computers.
Describing his project, Neevel said: "I'm always looking for ways to be more efficient in my shop. Voice commands are one way. Automation is another way. And I combined those two ways into one. Why? Efficiency.
"Have a look at my candy thrower, beer thrower, ibuprofen thrower, and other robots and marvel with me: What will I accomplish now that I don't have to throw ibuprofens at my own mouth anymore? I can't wait to find out."
It seems that adding all manner of levers and pulleys to the equation takes Google Home's functionality to the next level. But perhaps the flying sweets and drinks are not conducive to a very safe work environment, efficient as it may be?
Whatever the outcome, one thing is clear: having a computer do menial tasks around the office for you can be lots of fun.
