Man trashes airport terminal after missing his flight

An absurd reaction after missing your flight, but that's what intoxication can sometimes lead to.

No one intentionally misses their flight – unless, of course, you're in a movie, where the love of your life is desperately trying to stop you from boarding a plane in the middle of an emotional love scene.

Unfortunately, real life doesn't come with refundable plane tickets. In most cases, airlines don’t offer refunds for missed flights (unless there are special circumstances).

While it's understandable to feel disappointed and angry, one man at Dublin Airport took things much further with a violent outburst.

According to Aviation 24, "The man, described as a shirtless individual in his twenties with a scarf covering his face, vandalized electronic equipment and furniture at the gate. At the time of the incident, no staff members were present. He then moved to a nearby café, where he began hurling tables and chairs."

The Irish Times says the man, who had been drinking, had just arrived at the airport but missed his connecting flight. Airport police detained him before transferring him to An Garda Síochána, the Irish police force, who arrested and charged him.

In another Instagram video shared by Travel, it was reported that a woman, describing herself as a toddler mom, managed to calm the man. She approached him and gently tapped his back, causing him to lean over as if exhausted.

However, playing the blame game didn't help his situation, as he was arrested and charged for his actions.
