Model asks for money to buy a Chanel bag...

Now this is classic America...
As South Africans, it is not uncommon for us to see someone with a handwritten cardboard sign asking for a job or money to help them or their families.
But we are not too familiar with it happening in first-world countries, until now.
What really caught us by surprise was a young American model who used this as a means of making some funny content.
Karolina Geits, an American model living in New York, shared a video of her standing on the streets with a handwritten placard.
The cardboard sign reads: "Need money for Chanel".
And the response was uhh, surprising. We understand it was meant for fun, but it really gets one thinking about how people are more inclined to help a pretty woman buy a fancy handbag than the alternative.
