Mom promises to do more reading and writing with kid
Now this is a good reason for parents to help with their kids with homework!
Taking time to help your kids with their homework is always encouraged in parenting, but we know it's not always possible – especially for parents working shift jobs with unpredictable schedules.
However, we found a video that will motivate you to make time for your kids as we kick off the 2025 school year.
With the new school year about to start, there's no better time to set good routines for your kids – and practise good habits for yourself, too.

A mother, who promised to dedicate more time to writing and reading with her daughter, shared the motivation behind her decision. It wasn’t just a personal resolution – she was inspired after seeing a rather eye-opening piece of her daughter’s homework.
Her daughter intended to write, "I like to ride my bike". But the plot thickened when she wrote, "I like riding my d!#%."
Whoops! That's definitely not what any parent expects to find in their child’s homework.
