Mzansi reacts to TikTok that touches on salaries after deductions
Don't take things so seriously, just laugh it off... the South African way.
We've all been there, where we look forward to pay day and sometimes we are not all that impressed by what we see in our bank accounts.
It is a natural part of life to want more. For the most part, it pays to just laugh it off and make the most of it.
But what we also find relatable is getting phone calls from telemarketers who make an effort to remind us of the reality we live in.
One woman who is all about humour, Katinka, displayed these two points perfectly in a matter of seconds.
In a video she shared on TikTok, we see her using what looks like a deodorant can as a phone and lip-syncing to a telemarketing conversation.
Her text overlay on the video reads, "How it feels earning South African Rands".

Of course, the Rand is anything but a high commodity, but we always think it's about perspective.
After all, it could be worse. Nevertheless, we do appreciate the humour Katinka was trying to display here.
