A potjie fail we won't easily forget

This group of friends having a cookout was left heartbroken when their food fell to the ground.
Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you're cooking or braaiing, and disaster strikes – the food falls over?
It's not something that happens often, or maybe it does, but people are just too embarrassed to share their epic food fails because, let’s face it, they’re too painful to talk about.
A lamb chop falling off the grill and into the fire is one thing, but having your potjie tip over due to your own negligence? That’s a whole new level of heartbreak.
Or at least that's what we imagine...
A video shared on social media captures a group of people cooking over an open flame, a favourite tradition in our country.
Those who do it boast about the immense flavour of cooking using firewood, and it's also the perfect excuse for a social get-together.
Picture it: everyone's outside, lounging, chatting, sipping on cold drinks, and enjoying the mouth-watering aromas of food sizzling over the fire.
But then, disaster strikes. One person stirs the meat in the potjie, and the pot loses its balance, tipping over and spilling the meat onto the floor.
Chaos erupts as everyone screams in horror, and a few of the guys rush to rescue the meat and salvage the situation.
Now, we’re left wondering: does the three-second rule apply here? If not, would rinsing off the meat and putting it back into the pot be the ultimate save?
