Psychologist pins watching true crime shows as red flag

Apparently watching these types of shows could reveal some underlying trauma...

Mel Robbins, podcast host, author, and motivational speaker, sat down with a psychologist, Dr Thema Bryant, in one of her podcast episodes.
And what was revealed might not be so pretty to hear.
They spoke about people who enjoy consuming violent media and Bryant revealed that she believes there is a deeper connection with the consumption.
It was said that they "may do so for a very specific reason: it might be because the trauma of it all is familiar to them." (Instagram)
"So, if this sounds like you, then you may be in need of some pretty serious counselling." (Instagram)
That's pretty deep if you ask us. But it does have some logic to it.
But we don't think that calling it a 'red flag' may be the right way to approach it. Especially with the deeper meaning it is associated with.
